The Wii being market leader and not reaching 50%, ending at 35% or so is the anomoly. PS4 reaching 50% is the norm for the market leader, actually 50% is low.

PS2 (approx 75%) and PS1 (approx 70%+) smashed 50%.

It was just a thread that wasnt required and only created to wind up Ninty fans. Ps2 and Ps1 both had far better marketshare than Ps4 will achieve, but obviosuly that comparison isn't as convenient.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The title was obvious troll bait.

I'll be very interested in seeing the final sales rate for these two over their effective lifetimes when all is said and done. Given the way the Wii died a slow death and the PS3 remained strong until the end, I think it's possible that the PS4 might end up close to the Wii in that regard, even considering the Wii's viral stage.

$250 consoles are easier to move than $400 consoles, especially when there's some kind of gimmick hype. PS4 sales are almost entirely about hardcore/core gamers, where most of Wii sales were from casuals and elderly.

Did Wii sell more? Sure. But PS4 is selling great, and that's without giving up on actual gamers to cater to soccer moms.

One time i was sure. One time i also though the PS4 was gonna to sell at PS2 level. I also hoped in PS4 > PS2 lifetime...

But the thing are change.

PS4 will sell good, very good, but is not gonna to sell 100,000,000. It will probabily sell as the PS3/XB360 level, so, around 90,000,000... all can happen of course.

But that's was i think.

Agreed. There will come a point soon where everyone starts buying PS4s because it's the go-to console.

If they have they think it's a add on. Most of these older people now have iphones. I live in the states.

I didn't have a Wii until this year(and only to play Gamecube games at 480P via component cable cause Gamecube component cables are like $350 lol),

It's a testament too the stupidity of both nintendo and Microsoft. Sony can play the game well and they both dished up an easy win
