Like many other reviewers; they gain and lose fans every month, often the same people.

IGN and Gamespot are kinda in the same boat.

Personally; I find Famitsu to be somewhat kind in their reviews, and they are often at odds with Western publications, which is no huge mystery.

I know and I agree. Guess that means I was trolling. I too find them generous and don't pay heed to their scores. Though I hate when people accuse reviewers of accepting money for good scores, with Famitsu I can almost believe it.

I think they gave Final Fantasy XIII a 40/40, which seems almost like a favor to Sqeenix and not to FF fans (who more or less hated it). Famitsu can be strange.

That said; I have no doubt that Splatoon deserves its score, even a broken clock is right two times a day (unless it's digital, in which it's just useless)!
