Rand al Thor did his e3 predictions for ms says:
- shadow of tomb raider is gamepass, possibly metro too.
- fh4 in September
- gears spinoff November
- halo spinoff December or January
- ori March
- crackdown not at e3 and releasing next may.
- gears 5 release 2019
- Halo 6 releases 2020
- perfect dark and fable absent at e3.
- marketing rights to tomb raider, metro, battlefield, splinter cell, star field, and cyberpunk.

I would be happy with that e3 personally. Don’t think they get the marketing rights to that many games and I don’t think they jam that many games so close. I think gears spinoff will be spring not November.

If we get Halo and Gears spinoffs this year then Damn that would be incredible, my only hope is that the Halo spinoff isn't MP only. Tomb Raider and Metro gamepass would be Insane the value for this alone is crazy.

Cliff posting some of the games that he pitched on his Twitter, this one looks interesting but he was asking for 40 million WOW. Looks similar to Scalebound tbh

Wonder if this was the one he pitched to MS.

This one looks interesting too

Imagine the holiday ms will have with

august- metro marketing rights and gamepass

september- tomb raider GP, and marketing rights. FH4

oct- battlefield 5 marketing rights, star field marketing rights.

november- gears spinoff

December- halo spinoff

- last night, below, and ashen sprinkled in.

I’m not anticipating metro to be on gamepass, tomb raider possibly though. I also think no way both spinoffs are released 1-2 months apart. One will come this year, the other March or later.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Fanboys will complain about Halo/Forza/Gears but those IP are still big and will provide a much needed boost to Xbox.

Forza Horizon 3 is the best racer this gen so they can complain all they want. And as long as the spinoffs are very different than who cares.... besides fanboys.

That game sounds great. Once he's done with his break, MS should hire him and make that game happen.

At the asking price of 40 million no way, the concept looks great though. MS should at least try to negotiate with him about this IP, it looks like a possible Destiny/Anthem like game Pseudo MMO.

If anyone has yet to play Mass Effect: Andromeda, it is insanely cheap in this week's Deals with Gold and well, well worth your time.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Agreed, if you have not played it yet you should It's worth it imo even if only to add it to your backlog.

Eh, $40m actually isn't that much, most AAA's these days cost alot more than that. The first Crackdown 11 years ago cost $20m to develop and AAA budgets have considerably increased since then, we're probably looking at at least $60m development budget for Crackdown 3 considering it has been in development for 4 years across 4 different studios. MS spent $76m on Fable Legends only to end up cancelling it. Some other recent AAA budgets:

Heavy Rain (2010): $60m total

Red Dead Redemption (2010): $100m total

Skyrim (2011): $92m total

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (2012): $65m total

Halo 4 (2012): $100m total

Max Payne 3 (2012): $105m total

Gears of War: Judgement (2013): $60m total

Crysis 3 (2013): $66m total

Tomb Raider (2013): $100m total

Watch Dogs (2014): $68m total

Metal Gear Solid V (2015): $80m total

The Witcher 3 (2015): $81m total

Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018): $70-100m development + $35m marketing = $105-135m total

As you can see, a $40m development budget in 2018 really isn't alot, I'd say $40m development +$20m marketing is still below the average cost of a AAA in 2018.

TBH I didn't really know that AAA development cost that much so I guess 40 mill might not be to much to ask for, but then again pretty much every game you listed are part of already successful franchises (except Heavy Rain but at the time the Graphics where industry leading a it used heavy Mocap and that's not cheap) so not every game will be that high.
