I just had to bring this up again, it's from the SteamWorld Dig developer Brjánn Sigurgeirsson that Jim Sterling contacted to do one of his Jimquisitions about in November last year.

I found it interesting at the time I saw it but now with the first party games launching into Game Pass and a big focus in general towards the service I wonder if this could be to do with Microsoft picking up a bunch of great indies to launching into Game Pass as well to supplement their first party games to keep sub numbers up.

Something like this could make a lot of sense as Indies would retail for $15 anyway so a $10 to play them sounds great along with the other games the pass offers and they are generally shorter to complete than AAA games and I always get the feeling the majority of indie sales come with big 50%+ sales down the line due to their digital nature so this could actually push more revenue for many ID@Xbox developers.

Plus realistically, even MS is not going to pay the sort of money necessary to make major AAA titles to exclusively release on Gamepass. But 2-3 indies might make sense.

This is a good sign. Most games that do well on Twitch and Youtube end up becoming popular.

This is probably on the quieter end as well since Europeans just getting home from work and Americans are still at work, But it's going to be interesting to see how the viewership holds through the weekend

I'm about to play some SoT for about 2 hours.

Kinda expected it to be like that but always good to get that solid confirmation.

I downloaded the Beta last night, will be on it a bit going forward over the weekend

Sea of theives hit 200k viewers on twitch, with #1 spot to go along.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

The more I watch streamers play SOT the more I want to play the game myself. I will have to find a group to play with because it's just doesn't look half as fun by yourself.

Does game sharing work with game pass? I assume not

Anyway I'll definitely be subbing after I get my taxes back. I was already somewhat interested in it but now it's a no brainer. I had no interest in buying SOT, crackdown 3, or state of decay 2. I was somewhat interested but not 60$ interested. Now I'm seeing those games in a different light as I'll get to play them.

4m players is pretty good, I imagine that would translate to around 3m sales when game share/multi accounts are used.
