I voted for South Park as well

Angelus should do this tournament next year. Straight to AAA action, everyone has a vote but ultimately Angelus will decide the game we are looking forward to the most. S.t.a.g.e will be the special guest to share his infinite wisdom about the current state of Microsoft's 1st party. It will be so much fun 🎉 😊 🎈

This guy sounds smart. You guys should listen to him

Edit: On a serious note though, that is basically exactly what shika did in the last round, pulling some random system out of a hat to make sure Red Dead wins. Just saying.

I'm getting both games day one but voted Cuphead because it's going to get murdered by Ori.

There was nothing random about it. It was a compromise, we couldn't use just poll votes because somebody was clearly multi-voting (you don't get 8 votes for a game in a half an hour when XBE isn't even on VGC's homepage), nor could we completely disregard the poll because lurkers opinions have no weight which isn't fair to them. Red Dead won without my "random system" by the way. Red Dead had one more vote on the poll at the end.

If Forza, the game that was supposedly (hell, lets say very likely) was receiving vote manipulation in it's favor lost anyway, without altering the scoring.....why alter the scoring at all? Does it matter if it lost by 1 point or 100? Either one is still a loss. Altering the scoring process just for one round, or a few, when you've been doing things one way the entire time up until then is just nonsense. We could probably look at like half the rounds in this tournament and determine that the comment to vote ratios are way off.

I'm not trying to bust your balls here or anything, and I don't really care which games win or lose (beyond some personal amusement at how people vote), I just think if you're gonna set up a tournament of some kind, you gotta be consistant throughout, not arbitrarily decide that some round or other isn't legit enough, and then mix things up.

I voted for Ori.
