Asking for a Twilight Princess remake to be on the Wii U instead of 3DS is slightly different from asking for it to be on the PS4.

Since the Monster Hunter franchise isn't Nintendos I don't see how this is even remotely the same thing. Especially since the main argument being made is that the game has found its home on handhelds and that console development would be way to expensive.

It isnt, but it would be similar to asking for Gravity Rush yo come to Wii U. Unlikely enough to be an unecessary statement. 

 

Plus, the argument is being used to rebutt every console eequest, not just PS4. Im sure that even a few people who said they wanted a U version said they know it wont happen for that reason.

That may all be well and true, but my point was more about the reaction towards his comment and the lack of a similar reaction towards people saying they'd wish it come to Wii U.

Well if the market is on the console and you're making millions with each installment, not to mention the series is Japan only where handhelds reign supreme...I don't see why you'd want to mix it up. This looks like a big departure as far as this series goes regardless but releasing it on the 3DS is the most logical choice. 


PS2 -> PSP -> Wii -> 3DS (w/ Wii U port)

 

They've been moving backwards through consoles to stay at a certain level of power. This strategy wasn't always determined by demographic. I've been a massive fan since the PS2 original, and the game LOOKS the exact same as it did the first time I played it.

Except no, because MH, MHG, MH2, MHF, MHF2, MHFU, and MHP3 were all on Sony consoles. This is a franchise with deep roots in another brand.

Except no, because MH, MHG, MH2, MHF, MHF2, MHFU, and MHP3 were all on Sony consoles. This is a franchise with deep roots in another brand. 


Has roots but Capcom obviously seemed to switch to Ninty consoles. If they don't switch back or to MS (though very unlikely imo) then soon there will be same amount of MH games on Ninty as on Sony consoles.

I'm not arguing "willshould they". I'm saying comparing it to Gravity Rush isn't apt. Gravity Rush had only appeared on Sony machines. Monster Hunter had appeared more times than not on Sony machines as well, and given the change in power again, Capcom might be singing a new tune, soon. After all, 50%+ console market share is nothing to sneeze at.

MHX port to Wii U makes more sense because 3DS can play this game crossover with Wii U, not another game platform

80% handheld. 

 

I keep saying this generation is all about Ps4 and 3DS. Need an MH for both.

Soooo, I'm not a fan at all of classics Monster Hunter because of the slow gameplay, but what I've seen on this trailer looks damn faster. Do you think it will remain globally the same gameplay as before or a more dynamic one ?
