Forums - Gaming - So the Vita is close to over taking the handheld market in Japan! (Weekly peeps! Weekly!) So was I right?

KBG29 on 30 May 2015

I could see a 4G Vita dominating in Japan. If Sony has PlayStation Network services all running over 4G, and they bring ooVoo on as a full on texting, chatting, and video communication app across all PlayStation Platforms then they would have the best mobile device on the market by far. With this one move, Vita would become the market leader among handhelds, and mobile communication in Japan. This same model would be a major boost in the wezt as well.

The Vita is doing the best in Japan, but it hasn't surpassed the 3DS

But it's not doing the best in Japan. Nothing about this thread is accurate, tbh.

Just read over everything I said here, where do I said it is doing the best? Where did I say lifetime sales? Also, does the vita not have more games in the top ten in the Japanese chart? Was I inacurate? Is the vita not doing well with penty of games in the tank to come? How so am I the wrong?

More games that are still going to sell worse combined than even one 3DS game released this year (I can name several examples).

Also, I'm not talking about lifetime sales. I think the Vita has only beat the 3DS in weekly sales maybe once or twice so far this year.

This confused me for a minute until I realized you were talking about weekly sales instead of lifetime sales, lol.

Is still way off even if we talk about weekly sales.

At this rate Nintendo will kill all support of their platforms and develop for Vita exclusively.
