Forums - Gaming - Need For Speed will be always-online

Yep... EA being EA it seems. Wasn't expecting this, but I can't say I'm surprised, either.

Now I wonder if this is supposed to be some sort of clone of The Crew or Forza Horizon...

Another game I won't buy for my Wii U.

The joy of having a choice.

guess i wont be playing this game then. not worth it even if used.

Really?

I hope it flops like sim city then.

Well I was interested in buying this game, now it's a rental at the most.

I can't say for certain that The Crew wasn't financially successful, but it wasn't received well by consumers. Now that there has been a sandbox online-only racing game on the market, I'm doubtful that consumers will be open to this decision and be willing to give it a (2nd) chance.

Didn't the announcement state that this game was going to be more story focused? How do you do that with a game style like this?

You can't...

JUST AS I WAS GETTING EXCITED FOR THIS GAME -.-

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Dont worry guys, after they see the sales flop they will patch it out despite saying it is a necessity for the game to run... oh wait that was Sim City. Well at least we all know what to do

The thing is PS4 / Xbox One pretty much sells anything. Lots of people are ready to spend their cash. Game like The Crew passed one million in PS4.

As for me. My excitement died.

Me as well. I don't want another Need for Speed World mmo full of online idiots.

"A more rewarding experience with friends." That's bs :/ Let me choose when to enjoy (splitscreen) multiplayer with my friends.

With Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, Mirror's Edge 2 and what looked to be Need for Speed: Underground 3, I was starting to warm up to the new EA (post John Riccitiello) but it's clear now that nothing has changed and I was just being naive.

Is "benefits" euphamism for microtransaction?

Possibly. I'm going to be slighly more optimistic and say that it means "fucking annoying to play if you're solo".
