It's been trending well on all the usual indicators in the US, especially Amazon. So it seems to be doing well here. As for EU, that's the Wii U's weakest market.

I'm not so sure. Its being advertised like mad in NA and its priced really well in EU. It has a shot.

doesnt seem to have done all that well in the UK. its above 16k, but still beneath both the PS4 and XB1 versions of the witcher, which together along with the PC version sold around 65k this week.
i just dont see it doing well, WiiU just doesnt have the intsall base for this.

Amazon as a software indicator is pretty bad. it showed The Order beasting better than Evolve and Battlefield. but battlefield sold shit tons and evolve did much better than the order.

So, assuming I made no math errors, Splatoon sold less that 21K in the UK: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7305788
This doesn't seem very good to me, so I guess I was correct in predicting this game not doing well.

But The Order did not do poorly. Amazon is a poor indicator of *relative* success (x product doing better than y) but doing well on Amazon is usually a sign of good health in a product. The question in this thread is whether Splatoon will be a healthy, successful release. Amazon is still a competent indicator of that.
As for EU, that is Nintendo's weakest market. No reasonable individual should suggest a decidedly Nintendo game that isn't a juggernaut mainstay to do well there, especially the UK.l

the 69% drop is for the PC, PS4 and XB1 versions combined, the XB1 version could have dropped less than that. but yeah, it seems to be in the 16k- 25k region.

it did 200k in its first month and 40k in its second. it was an "meh" showing to an "okay" on at best. im not trying to piss on the game or anything, but with the WiiU's current state and the type of game that splatoon is, i just dont see it being a success.

Because is has best advertise since the Wii U release

Well the Order also dropped like an anil on amazon very soon after launch. The initial rush was pretty good, the subsequent weeks were not. And I don't claim to make predictions. I am merely pointing out that current trends are good. That could change tomorrow, but the initial rush seems good. As for how this fits the Wii U's install base, I'm not even going to try to predict that; game's too much of a wild card in that regard.
