hmm, interesting, never knew that. But even if it sells well in Japan, it will bomb in the rest of the world. 

Wii U doesn't have the install base. I think 2 million would be a brilliant effort for Splatoon and it can definitely make that level of sales. But 2.5 million is probably a bridge too far. Withe re views coming in for Splatoon a metacritic of ~82 says great game with good sales for the install base it's selling to, but it's not the next big thing that a 90+ metascore would be suggesting.

An in the US we also have a bundle. The 90% of the Nintendo games in the US sell more than in Japan.

There is NO REASON for say that Splatoon will bombed in the the rest of world.

hard to say, North America might be a bust thanks to the price being full price while the rest of the world has it cheaper.

What does that have to do with anything? Last I checked both of those games didn't even hit two million.
