Others I'll add
Sony didn't start the whole "games for older audiences" thing. Sega did that, Sony just copied it.
Sony doesn't really do anything all that special, they just wait for their opposition to make mistakes and then move in and take advantage. The two times they competed head on with a competitior that really had their sh*t together (the XBox 360 and Nintendo DS), they weren't able to dominate at all. If it's a "fair fight" (meaning the competition hasn't shot themselves in the foot), Sony isn't so great at competing.
LittleBigPlanet is mediocre.
The game industry would be better if Microsoft gave up on consoles. Not that XBox consoles are bad, but MS moving into the industry makes it too crowded for Nintendo, and MS doesn't really need the game business, nor are they really bringing anything different to it (they're just an imitation of Sony). The XBox doesn't need to exist, MS makes plenty of money from Windows, whereas Sony and Nintendo really need the money from the game business badly.
