i get the feeling most likely No Man's Sky will just another Destiny by having big promises but falls flat on its face big time.

Really not that unpopular, there's a lot of worry for that game.

while i have seen some fair share of worriedness for it i have honestly mostly seen hype.

There's also a lot of hype, but anytime I see something about it on reddit for instance it's always accompanied by comments about how nobody even knows what you do in the game and that it could turn into a massive disappointment. I'm not sure myself, it could really go either way.
