Yes, yes, some people liked The Order. That does say nothing, every game is loved by someone, as crappy as it may be. But that doesn't mean there was a campaign against the game. It does mean people have different tastes. The Order lacked subsance in some areas, but that doesn't mean some people can't enjoy it. But some people enjoying it doesn't mean all reviewers are full of crap. It doesn't mean there is a conspiracy. With what goal? Against PS4? Look how Bloodborne turned out. I even said it back then, some of the conspiracy-against-Sony-believers was claiming there is already a lot of negativity around Bloodborne. I could dig up the post, if I would care more.
And The Order isn't among the worst games ever, it got a 63. There is a lot of crap that flows far below that, let's see - Rugby 15 got 19%: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/rugby-15
The Order is far above that.
So why all the outrage? Because the game got hyped before release - and it got hyped simply too much. and that is a problem in itself. I know why it was hyped that much - most people buy full price first week. Until the backlash of negativity hits the game gets sold a lot on hype. The hyping was intentional, to sell copies. The problem herein is, that such behaviour destroys the trust of the gamers over time. If people stop buying first week at full price, the gaming industry is in much more trouble as it is now. So it is a good thing to point out and criticize the game was overhyped. So that devs in the future try to be more careful.
