| JNK said: it would definitve sell more without the problems. There were many people today to just "hm lets see" and then they got nothing and they lost interest again. I dont say it will sell bad, but it would definitve do better without the problems. So i also played the 2nd round (good they did it) but the damage was already done. One example: First Hour first minutes SPlatoon was on twitch front page (30k viewer). Second Hour Splatoon wasnt on twitch front pake anymore (7k viewer).
I think you can expect a similar amount of players. Many people doesnt even got informed when it works. Dont forget, the normal gamer isnt like we. he is not that much a nerd and try/wait/google/discuss on forum etc about the problems. He just see dont work = bad.
Dont get me wrong, i love the game. But this really shouldnt happen. |
The game hasn't come out yet. We don't know if the final product has these issues, therefore it won't impact sales.
Obviously views went down because the first hour was nothing and people weren't gonna stick around to watch that, and they probably didn't know the second hour existed.
The average gamer doesn't know about the Wii U in the first place, so that isn't an issue.
Like I said, it's a test. It was expected that something like this would happen when they're literally testing the server's ability to handle stress. Besides, they gave us an extra hour. It's a non-issue.

But your point was irrelevant to the joke I was making though. I only troll master trolls, and Rol is one of them. As he said himself, you can't spell Troll without Rol. So I'm done talking to you Tbone.

Maybe the servers crashed because, theres some people who has the final version? So their running like 2 different servers? ( lol i dont know what im talking about
)
Pocky Lover Boy!

i swear a theory on twitter that as to why there were server problems this time is that it could be that this time Nintendo was testing to see if the the back up servers worked properly just in case there are problems with the main servers day 1

I dunno how it works. IGN said they will have their review up on the 27th. So they must have a way to play the online with all features unlocked.

Oh! I would take that. So it took them like 50min to get it back up. Is that a good thing?

Nah, 1 hour, and all the people interested in the game playing at the same time, that was a bad mix. But at least they fix it quickly! And now they have the servers ready for launch so I don't expect any problem once the game comes out. Although, we will have a lot of "Nintendo is not ready for online shooter" threads, I'm calling it XDD. Largely ignoring the fact that a lot of games had online issues and this was a test (Halo:MCC was awful, and there were problems in the final game, for example, but nobody seems to remember it...).
