Well 8 consecutive matches without crashes has been a great relief. I hope there is no fails at launch.

Had a blast during the second hour!
Really felt myself improving as well, compared to last time.
Spending warm summer days indoors
Writing frightening verse
To a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg
NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Mega Drive, Game Gear, PS1, PS2, PSP, XBOX 360, Atari Lynx

Phew, that was a relief! They almost make themselves a very bad publicity, now, some people will talk about that servers' problem but, a lot of people will note that they solved the problem quickly and now they have the servers ready for launch! 5 days to fun!
EDIT: By the way, rollers are not so OP as some people said. In fact, I much prefer the Splattershot Jr. Plus, it's the first time I didn't end matches in the last position in a shooter game! I'm not kidding! haha
1st hour I was able to play only two matches, second hour no issues. Again had a great time, now we wait friday. :)

Lol. Nintendo could've easily had the servers broken the day of launch and it would've sold fine still. Because you know what? That's what most devs these days actually do. The testfire is what it sounds like. A test. People should be mature enough to realize that they're doing this to make the final product more stable. By the way, I've played two more games in the last 5 minutes. |
it would definitve sell more without the problems. There were many people today to just "hm lets see" and then they got nothing and they lost interest again. I dont say it will sell bad, but it would definitve do better without the problems.
So i also played the 2nd round (good they did it) but the damage was already done.
One example:
First Hour first minutes SPlatoon was on twitch front page (30k viewer).
Second Hour Splatoon wasnt on twitch front pake anymore (7k viewer).
I think you can expect a similar amount of players. Many people doesnt even got informed when it works. Dont forget, the normal gamer isnt like we. he is not that much a nerd and try/wait/google/discuss on forum etc about the problems. He just see dont work = bad.
Dont get me wrong, i love the game. But this really shouldnt happen.
*Tomorrow's Posts*
"NINTENDO FAILS TO KEEP UP SERVERS. DOOM AWAITS FOR SPLATOON'S SALES"
"Are Nintendo really ready for an online-centric game?"
"Hey guys, the Vita got another game!"
Seriously though, I wonder what was different about the first hour from the second hour to make them work perfectly again. Does Nintendium translate digitally? Just lather some Nintendium on the servers and they work just as new. 10/10

You mean just like the Wii U, right?

Unlike WiiU, Splatoon's going to be one of the most successful things this gen and will make a ton of people eat crow.

Chill, this why they called this Test Demo.
It was all together 5 hours of Test Demo, and only one hour had a problem, not big deal.

I don't think you got the joke. Rol said it's Nintendo's usual strategy of not giving people what they want (which they didn't with the Wii U) to make the final product more desirable (which the Wii U did not end up as).
