This one is interesting. 750ti/i3 4130 PC is about same price as xbox one  but no online fees and way cheaper games.

Why do people still buy these consoles? They are way more expensive then an equal pc in the long run and still can do less.

That PC setup will be dead within 12 months, while a console will be optimised throughout its entire lifetime. Hence you have to upgrade PC to keep up with newer games that get released, consoles do not need upgrading. Why people compare a PC to a console is rather stupid.

no it wont. The console games will just look worse too. Witcher 3 also runs on an intel hd 4400 gpu. thats like a 10 year old gpu and it works (all low 600x800)the pc will still be able to run the games on same level.

PC waters look impressive though.

Why couldn't they wait until the Witcher 3 PS4 frame fix was live?

The Xbox One fix barely made it.

If it only offers the same performance thats not really that enticing now is it, also how well would it age? Also I don't care about expense in the long run.

Above all though (speaking for myself mainly  :p) many of us are simply not interested in PC gaming as a concept. I don't know a single person (other then PC gamers) who use a desktop computer for anything other then work, everyone uses laptops. As much as I'm a graphics whore, I simply cannot see myself being a PC gamer unless I get a beastly rig for work purposes. Exclusive are also another reason.

Oh yeah, also just realized we both forgot a DVD drive, that's an extra $15 or so I think.

An optical drive hasn't been mandatory for PCs for years.

I don't notice a difference between PS4 and XB1, but I do notice a difference between PC and the consoles, especially after patch 1.03 added sharper textures on PC.

Understandable, I think it's fair to say that gap between PS4 and Xbone is smaller than the gap between PS4 and PC.

Me, I don't find 900p vs 1080p very noticeable. Heck, I don't even consider 720p vs 1080p a big deal, haha.

I think it just depends the TV you have.  I couldn't see much difference between 720p vs 1080 on a 40" sony bravia but when I bought a bigger TV(55"), the differences for me were very noticeable.  I agree that 900p and 1080p looks almost identical.

I just upgraded from a 32" to a 42". (My old one died)

I can see a difference between 720p vs 1080p, I just don't find it to be a that big of a deal. Like, when I'm playing I don't really think about it.

Yeah me too.  I am constantly changing between my ps4 and ps3 and although I can see the difference, it doesn't bother me at all.  If I put a 480p game on my new TV, that's when my eyes start screaming for help.

I must have a high tolerance, I'm playing through Skyward Sword again on Wii, and the 480p res doesn't really bother me. Yeah, it's blurry and pixelated, but after a while I get used to it and stop noticing, haha.
