Forums - Nintendo - Enough with the Wii U and 3DS are dead threads

Zelda U is probably next gen now. It's had a huge delay and they're not showing it at Gamescom or E3.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Zelda U is not next gen. The Wii U still has to the end of 2017 for it's minnimum 5 year life cycle..

I've never seen someone say that the 3ds is dead. That would be like saying the ps4 is dead (considering they trade blows a lot on a week to week basis for the sales crown).
Secondly, the only reason to make this thread about the wiiU is because it's beating a dead horse. The wiiU isn't coming back. Nintendo is getting ready to move on from it in the next year. None of those games are going to revive the wiiU. Splatoon is a new ip that will do ok, but I don't see it moving many consoles. Most people that want it likely already own a wiiU. Zelda U will move a decent amount for a month or two, and that's about it. Zelda U is likely that last big release the wiiU has.

There is literally a thread on the front page calling it dead.

The hot topics right now have a 3DS dead thread that has garnered quite a bit of attention. It's a pretty terrible ass thread though, I honestly wouldn't bother looking at it if I was you.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Hmm...came here to read about how the Wii U and 3DS are not dead (in the face of historically low sales, price/tech ratio, vague release dates, little/no west support, major delays, successor around the corner, etc) only to see list wars and wishful thinking.

Lol. Look how no one is taking you seriously. In terms of sales, the 3DS is not dead. In terms of support, the Wii U is not dead. If you think otherwise, I know a few great mental hospitals that I could get you into.

In terms of shipments, both were up YoY last quarter, dead devices don't show improvement.

the wii u/3ds ''is dead'' threads are as redundant as the threads about The Order -shivers-

Where's the thread about the vita being dead?

Not as annoying as the Witcher 3 downport/inferior version threads IMO.

By the nine this, it must have been a slow weekend and an already slow starting week but I really cannot wait until Witcher 3 threads vanish but even then each week we seem to get a repeat of old news now and then like Nintendo having some big problem (that users make out of nothing) or MS getting into some shit or not doing enough and then Sony doing something amazing that will blow apart everyone who has a pair of sides, then of course we've got the whole PC, MS, Nintendo doom threads now and then.

Honestly I think it's hard to just stick to a few topics for weeks rather than days, at least the 3 megathreads have something new going on to keep discussion going.
