I've never seen someone say that the 3ds is dead. That would be like saying the ps4 is dead (considering they trade blows a lot on a week to week basis for the sales crown).
Secondly, the only reason to make this thread about the wiiU is because it's beating a dead horse. The wiiU isn't coming back. Nintendo is getting ready to move on from it in the next year. None of those games are going to revive the wiiU. Splatoon is a new ip that will do ok, but I don't see it moving many consoles. Most people that want it likely already own a wiiU. Zelda U will move a decent amount for a month or two, and that's about it. Zelda U is likely that last big release the wiiU has.
