3DS - 70M - 150M (Depends on a 4G varient, and what becoes of the new Nintendo Network)
PSV - 20M - 100M (Depends on PSTV and 4G PS Vita with full online gaming and access to PlayStation Network Services)

Well, that is only 5m under GBA. Not so doomed after all. 
Think it largely depends on if Nintendo really does a hybrid type system. Even if they are separate but cross compatible it could certainly leave its mark.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
