Forums - Gaming - UPDATE: Digital Foundry vs Oddworld New 'n' Tasty (Unstable on both PS4/X1)

Digital Foundry's tests show both consoles having trouble meeting it's 60fps gameplay target.

Just in case propective buyers were wondering.

Will update with the full analysis article if and when it emerges.

Day one patch can solve this. But my question why day one patch? Technically they are releasing an unfinished game.

It is a 5th gen game...

100%ed it a month ago on PS4. It's a pretty game (something I def couldn't say about the original), but has some real technical problems here and there. The sound has an occasional 'pop' to it, the fps can be erratic (rarely posed much of a problem, though), and the quick save/load option could cause stability issues.

Why is DF looking at this so long after release?

What the heck??? Why does it look choppy at times...? The game doesn't seem that demanding either... What happened with this game..? O:

New n tasty is NOT a 5th gen classic. It's a new game. It may look like Abe's odysee but it was built as a new game from the ground up. Please change your OP as it will cause confusion. It's an indie title that has a small team working on it. They will fix bugs pretty quickly as has been seen with other versions.

Seems ok to me. Lets be honest, its not a tournament brawler or a competitive FPS, so anything above 30 fps is perfect IMO

You gave a digital foundry video and usually they are done after release. This is why I assumed it came recently. I have little idea about indie games.

Latest comparison video ever? I platinum'd the game in JULY 2014, a year ago. I didn't notice any fps problems until a year later, luhmao.
