Pre-order uncancelled!!!!

I was thinking that the single player was going to be short but if its like every other shooter, then bam!!!!!

You didn't uncancel your preorder after the testfire?

For shame, Jizz!

$70 is a hard sell okay? Even after the awesome FapFire T_T

Lookat it this way, will the multiplayer be a good investment for $70? Have fun with the story mode go online and play at the start. Unlock eberything, etc!

Now ask yourself will this game have so much of a fun factor that you can see yourself playing throughout the summer and keep on inking for the rest of the year? If yes then $70 wont feel like a steep price. Especially since throughout the summer we'll be getting more and more of splatoon.

And ask yourself this, what other game can you ink your girls in and use tentacles?? :P

I prepurchased. I'm not concerned about it. People like to complain about the lack of modes but almost every shooter ends up being boiled down to team deathmatch and Splatoon will end up with that mode. The single player is actually more than I thought it would be. Remember when Splatoon was announced most thought it wouldn't even have single player. Will the final product be worth the money? Most likely yes. But considering EU is getting it for a song and I'm shelling out $60 seems unfair.

Yeah, I gotchu.

It must be rough living in Canada where most games are significantly overpriced. I know that would limit my purchases also.

Yeaa! See the issue is everything took a hit on the prices T_T

From my car insurance, to my phone bills, to my internet bills to computer parts and everything else! But my wage of course, didn't go up (unless I get a raise) so the same wage but increased living expenses in virtually all areas = time to be critical on purchases :(

But oh well, Nintendo came through for me so day 1!

Loll, all the lewd jokes aside, this really would have been a hard sell for me if the single player wasn't 5-7 hours long because at $70, I really gotta compare it to other games like Cod for example.

Cod has like 12 different* modes, has way more weapons, perks, kill streaks and etc, has way more maps at launch (14-15), has not only private matches but custom private matches, has a 6-7 hour single player and has "horde mode," and has voice chat (which isn't a big deal for me).

If we compare that to splatoon... Splatoon has 3 online modes, has less weapons and etc, has less maps at launch (5), doesn't have custom servers at all but will have private servers by the looks of it and we didn't know how long the single player was going to be and of course, doesn't have horde mode and doesn't have voice chat (which isn't a big deal for me)

Now we can of course say the whole "splatoon is unique" and it is, it really is. It is quite unique and fun and etc but is its uniqueness enough to justify $70 when other games that cost $70 has more stuff but are less unique? I would argue not really (before the length of the single player got revealed).

With that being said, since it now has a 5-7 hour single player, it is very justifiable for me because I am willing to overlook some of its issues because it is very unique and fun compared to many other shooters these days, its just before this, I couldn't really justify it.

But now that I am on board... I hope the kids are ready for penis shapes everywhere yar har har

*Some are kind of similar

It has 4 online modes actually. How many modes in CoD are actively played? Most of them are quite boring and unoriginal. Not to mention some of them are practically the same with some minor changes.

Yeap not much of a surprise there, it's all about dat multiplayer!

Multiplayer is barebone as it has less maps, less modes and missing many features. If it was priced $40 then it would have been perfect. $60 is too much.

Are you including the free update content, cause that'll put it at atleast 6 modes of play, 13 maps, and 20 weapons, on top of the most important thing, it's unique dynamic easy to pick up hard to master addictive gameplay.

Sorry 4 T_T

But I can pretty much find matches in virtually all modes until the next itteration of cod comes out and at its worst case, I can still play those modes with my friends. And I find quite a bit of them pretty fun but certainly the standard ones are unoriginal. And of course, some cod games on PC (and maybe the consoles but idk) has dedicated servers where u can play even more modes that aren't just part of the status quo such as infected and etc which are also fun

And do you think Splatoon will be played by 6 million people to be able to support 12 different modes? Or would half of the game become a ghost town considering the Wii U's installbase?

Anyway the game only costs €40 here.

No but I don't really care. They both cost the same and even if splatoon can't support all the modes 5 months later down the line I would like to have the option to play those modes with my friends at the very least.

And great! But it still costs $70 here so doesn't really matter to me what it costs where you are

Are you deciding between Splatoon and BLOPS3 or something, otherwise I don't see why the comparison, as a game doesn't need to have a as many online modes as CoD to be fun, worth $60, have an active community, able to be played for 100+ hours, and all that jazz, see MK8.
