Apart from Ground Zeros Konami have done jack all for me on the console scene.

Good riddance.

Looks like Lords of Shadow 2 was their last major game for me then.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Looks like MGSV is their final goodbye. :/

time to become a James Bond villain and destroy every cellphone in existence...

RIP Konami....at least give us another Suikoden....

I mean I can understand the future of gaming in Japan going mobile, but on a western side of it I don't think it will ever happen, IMO there is no crossover of people who play proper games and mobile games, there 2 complete different markets.

Konami is dead to me after MGSV. I will likely never make another purchase from them, but that's alright. Someone will take my place and the wheel will continue to spin.

With Japanese games being more and more mobile centric, aren't you worried that that soon you will run out of replacements. I don't think I have a favorite third party company in Japan anymore after Capcom went a bit crazy.

Yeah, because crappy touch-screen controls, pay-walls, inferior graphics and not even full games and deeeefinitely the future of gaming.

God help us all....

it is mainly due to japanese gamers are more into mobile gaming. hence as a Japanese company, they wanted to push their gaming division into it.
time will tell if they are going to succeed with it or not. i just wish it wasn't just mobile gaming and still push for console games but they said they still have MSG and PES series for console gaming. seems their other IPs would lean towards mobile first.
