Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: "We Have More Games Planned for WiiU this Financial Year"

EpicLight said:
It will be all you have listed - F-Zero, Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Animal crossing, (announced StarFox this year), Metroid.

The only question is how much time and effort has been utilized to fit each project - how many people on how many projects.

Nintendo's project management - time to shine!

F-Zero actually is not coming to the Wii U. Miyamoto confirmed this in an interview. He said they needed "A better controller for the game"

Personally, I think the Gamepad would be the best controller for it.

Ok Nintendo I expect big things this from you this E3, and most of these unannounced games better not be your typical 1st party games that you make every generation.

I could have sworn a few days to weeks back you said you weren't interested in Nintendo anymore, why would you expect anything from them at all?.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I'm not optimistic. I reckon paper Mario which I have no interest in and then a load off budget title. I wouldn't mind medroid or animal crossing. I think a HD 3d metroid would be too expensive to develop for wii u.

My expectations are low, as I'm not interested in the games I expect to happen. (Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, Diddy Kong Racing, Luigi's Mansion)

Me, pavolink, spemanig, now you... the cynicism is spreading. :P

This brings me back to E3 2013 when large amounts of Nintendo fans were upset while I wasn't. I had been saying that the Wii U is going to suck since E3 2011, but all the other people couldn't believe it. Two years later it dawned on them while I celebrated the announcement of Donkey Kong Country 5.

Wii U sales suck, console itself and especially games, are great.

Definitely one of the best Nintendo consoles for me and in top 5 best consoles ever.

Anything is possible to announce on E3 for Wii U, because this will be probably last E3 where Wii U will be in focus, next year on E3 we will have NX thing.

-Metroid
-Animal crossing
-Amiibo based game
-Pokemon
-F-Zero
-Paper Mario U
-PunchOut
-Paper Mario U
-Luigi's Mansion
-Diddy Kong Racing
-Some more GameCube HD remakes
-Something new

Real question is what exactly from all this games can arrive this year, personally i think something from this games can arrive this year: Animal crossing, another GameCube HD remake, Luigi's Mansion or something new.

Many people want Animal Crossing on WiiU. I felt that game made more sense on a portable. Now, if it has cross platform online play between 3DS and WiiU version it might pick my interest.

Well Iwata stated how they want all future devices to adequately "absorb" the Wii U architecture in order to have a seamless transition similar to GC-Wii, if that's the case than I believe we will see a decent amount of underperforming Wii U games get ported to the next handheld/console. So even if Metroid doesn't make much money on Wii U, they can make up for it with the remastered 1080p NX version.

This is very likely to happen. The invested software money demands it even.

I suspect some digital deal regarding Wii U games with the launch of NX. For this kind of money, you can select 2/3/4/5 out of like 5 big Wii U games at launch. It would supply NX with an quick supply of quality software which a lot of people missed on Wii U.

Or perhaps a discount (coming from new account system), if you have bought them before - bigger discount perhaps if that was digital bought.
