Unlikely, considering Wii U isn't doing terribly in germany (for Wii U standards I mean ). They must have had quite some copies prepared.

I gotta say I love it. There is usually lots of people from germany racing in MK8. If this is the case I'm expecting lots of action in Splatoon.

On topic, I have no read on what kind of supply Nintendo is sending out.  Sometimes Splatoon feels like a big project, other times it feels like a small project.

Well it's been leading in the WiiU bestsellers ever since the testfire. It showed up on the first page in the general games bestsellers too, but dropped off after a couple of days. Makes sense if its sold out.
The wiiU has been rising into the top 100 as well, that probably doesn't mean much though. Amazon.de mostly tells me that the demo really helped Splatoon and that peaople are excited about the Witcher 3. :P

Anyways i hope they get new stock soon, it'd be sad to see Splatoons sales potential hampered by low stock.
