I feel like this E3 was sort of the straw to break the camels back. The Digital was pretty bad but it wasn't that bad. Not bad enough to warrant the fandom meltdown it has caused IMO anyways. But after three years of sticking with a console that has little to no third party support and is plagued by droughts, questionable Amiibo practices and game delays this direct gave us nothing to latch on to, nothing to get excited about. They only needed a proper Metroid or just something new awesome and unexpected, some sign they still care about the WiiU in the future and they'd probably have gotten a pass yet again.
As it is it at least feels like they're abandoning their most loyal fans on a sinking ship. Maybe it's misjudging what they have. Maybe they do have things in the pipeline for WiiU. But even if they do, they did a very poor job with this presentation, sending exactly the wrong signals at the wrong time with this.

I actually like this cover more. The other one's colours don't mix well (red and yellow). Hah, I just insulted the flag of my country. :D It was one of the more original designs I had seen and genuinely looked like a building kit.

Actually, this is the cover I'm seeing from Gamestop for NA. It has the yellow. I believe it's just the outer box, though. Maybe the red one shown earlier is the actual one. That would be a shame.

Finally was able to log in vgchartz.And the situation is far worse than i had imagined.The video of the metroid game has 30k dislikes of 33k total.The petition mentioned before has now 5.6k signatures.And vgchartz is flooded with nintedo doom threads.While the digital event wasnt that bad(after i had time to sleep of course.When the event ended, i was flooded with anger), i do think that nintendo deserves this backlash.They got everything backwards.They gave all the games we wanted, but in reverse.Well, i just hope that Iwata really meant what he said, and learn from this.
