Well, the joycons are an improved motion control so maybe the slight upgrades made the aiming slightly smooter?

 

They have more features in HD rumble and IR Sensor, but I don't see how that makes the gyro any better. It already works perfectly on Wii U, atleast whenever I fail at aiming it's never because of the controller.
