NES Mini created by Nintendo European Research and Development (N.E.R.D.)

N.E.R.D.'s another works include DS emulation on Wii U, the face-tracking "super stable" 3D on the New 3DS, enabling support for Wii games on Wii U eshop, and the Wii U web browser's video player.

Came in to get some info on the new Nintendo select games.

Was met with 1419 pages with 5 posts on each side. Left uninformed.

That's the beauty of mega threads my friend!

Anywho, here ya go: http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-selects

I put down Yoshi's Wolly World for a long while and just began playing it again with my roommate a week ago and I didn't get very far in this game originally, but this framerate is very unstable on several of these levels. I don't remember noticing this early on, but now that we play it now, we both can see the slow downs in several levels. Kind of disappointing for a 2D sidescroller.

What levels?

Rather than just laughing at the problem, perhaps try fixing it? Obvious solution woud be post limits like many other sites use, aswell as limiting unnecessary post by not allowing pointless spam and having tournament/general play session/Nintendo Direct/etc. post in their own threads.

Enforcing what people can and can not do is not the purpose of this thread because this is supposed to be a place where anyone can talk anything about Nintendo. Spam will always be there and people will step in if they get out of hand, but is best to leave it open for what topics people would like to discuss. Something random like what coloured Link is the best (Red is awesome, btw) may seem like random spam to some but it's nice to not feel pressured for what you can and can not post

But given how quite these days are, I don't really have too much of a worry about things getting out of hand to be honest

The fundamental problem is in the nature of the mega thread itself, where posts get buried, even all posts are news related and in 'regulation' A quick fix may be to start anew, but that only is a temporary measure and is quite messy.

I've thought of ways like linking said news in the title to the OP but is pretty time consuming and the OP isn't viewed regularly, as the discussion is at the end of the thread

Thanks for the input though, as ideas are always nice to discuss over

Hah, good one!

Fair enough on what can be discussed, but still having a post limit only helps. Sifting through even 1,000 post is far easier than 10,000, and each 1,000 post thread would essentially have it's own identity based on the discussions in it, which will help with remembering when and where certain things were talked about. For me with 25 post per, this thread has an unmanageable 568 pages, whereas a 1,000 post thread would have an easily skimmable 40.

It does get really tedious when I try to dig back on a post even if it was posted like a week ago =.=

Doesn't really help that I use 10 posts per page, but I like to keep links of posts that are worth tracking, like the in-thread rules posts and the poll results. Not the best way but something that could be done?

Whut? I just said what should be done; make a new Nintendomination thread everytime it reaches 1000 (or 800, 500, whatever) post, problem solved!

Isn't the obvious solution to put the content that the headline advertises in the OP?

But that's too much hassle for a thread creator to match his title with the first post.
