the question isnt "can it?" the question is "do we want it?" for the Global Testfire i had a ton of fun and if it ever got overly competitive it would ruin the fun fast-paced gameplay i already love. it honestly felt like playing a single-player mode with a sophisticated AI and i hope it can stay that way.

Anyway, a sequel can always improve on the first game's shortcomings. Why do people not think further than just the first game?

because we are talking about the FIRST game? you know the one that isnt even out yet. Why talk about a sequel to a game that hasnt been released, hell why assume there will be a sequel? Sounds like your kinda trying to move goalposts a bit

Nope, confident enough that this game will have a sequel. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Again Guilty Gear, a franchise that averages 100k-150k has a competitive scene and was at evo (still going i believe)

So no criticism should ever be mentioned at all, since everything can be fixed in any sequel anyway.

This is about the franchise's potential at esport.

If you believe it won't because of voice chat then there is always the possibility of a sequel to fix that. That's what sequels are for. Fixing mistakes and adding new stuff.

You are jumping the gun on purspose, this is NOT a franchise the game isnt even out yet, lets wait for that and the ONE game on hand before we even get into all that.  This is about the GAME'S(singular) potential at esport
