Nope. Driveclub destroys this game in terms of visuals. Gran Turismo 7 will leave it light years behind LMAO!

Driveclub runs at 30fps and has far less cars in play at once. It's also an exclusive, while Project CARS is multiplat.

My point was, PS4 and Xbone are increasingly falling behind PC in multiplatform releases, which is only natural as PC tech advances and consoles remain at midrange 2013 levels.

The end result is still that Driveclub has better image quality overall. And even if it's not a sim, it still pushes quite a lot of tech. Sure it doesn't have as many cars going on at once at the same time. But the picture quality and overall look of the game is at the end much more realistic and polished than Project Cars.

To be fair though, for what Project Cars pushes, it's quite the looker. It will be interesting to see how far above that Polyphony and Turn 10 are going to push things. I expect those two to up their game quite a bit for their next release.

I would agree that Driveclub has the better image quality and effects, though for many people, including myself, 30fps vs 60fps is the bigger separator.

It's an unfair comparison so begin with though, which was my point; PC has an overwhelming advantage, and multiplats are increasingly showing this. Not to worry though; consoles are the bigger money maker, so it'll never get to the point where they miss out. They won't look as pretty or run as smooth, but they'll still get playable versions of virtually every big PC game.

So PC > PS4> XB1... as expected.

But this game never impressed me at all. I can't see what's so amazing/impressive about its graphics. I mean, really, games like DC are prettier imho. Maybe it's the art direction? I don't know, but it doesn't looks "real", "impressive" or anything else to my eyes...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Also, dat reflection difference...

honestly, pc reflection looks crap there, the reflected lights brighter than the source for crying out loud.

to me its the age old problem of pumping 90% of work into car models and 10% into environments.

Or, in Gran Turismo's case, 90% car models, 9% environments, 1% sound.

Oh I agree it's unrealistic, though on a technical level, reflecting lights is more intensive than omitting said reflections.

I was referring more to the car's reflection anyway.

Compared to driveclub this game looks average.

The real DriveClub framerate is unknown... to run at locked 30fps it needs to be ahead 30fps most of time... and pCARs is not 60fps please.... from what I see both can be running at avg 40fps lol

PS. Unless you are talking about PC... on PC it could be running at 60fps or more.

I was talking about PC, yeah.

Wow looks amazing. I love the huge amount of cars in each race as well. This will be one of my first games when I build my new PC later this year. Seems like a waste to get it on consoles.

Do you think it's a busted shader, or an aesthetic choice? I've seen some effects that I usually don't like work under the right conditions.
