The idea of any one console maker buying up the whole japanese industry is horrible, none of them would be able to support all of that, 1000s of people would lose their jobs and tons of smaller game series would disappear because they'd naturally be the first on the cutting board. |
I'd settle for Sega/Atlus (both small companies, doubtful anyone would have to lose their job), Konami (they are putting themselves out of business, whoever gets fired in that process is likely to get fired in the next year or two anyways), and Capcom (because I am just way too interested in seeing what a company far less currupted by the almighty dollar would do with Capcom's IPs).

I'm expecting:
- New Infos or/and Trailers from at least 6 of the 9 Wii U games still scheduled for this year, plus exact release dates for 2 or 3 of them
- Paper Mario (development of a new paper mario had been leaked last year)
- Showcase of some interesting Indie Titles coming to the Wii U
- Project Guard getting released right after the presentation (it did show up in Nintendos annual report a few days ago as 1st half 2015, don't see any better opportunity in that timeframe to release the game than this)
- Next Amiibo Series
Less probable, but still possible:
- Pokkén Fighters U
- Metroid
- F-Zero U (as long as they don't call it F-U...)
- Maybe some third party game (Unless they're Indies or exclusives, third party titles tend to not show up Nintendo Direct, but Project Treasure might do so)
- SNES Remix
- Some Mario Sports title (Mario Strikers/Smash Football, Mario Sluggers, etc...
Dream: Cross platform, cross-brand Smash Bros.
Reality: Vague discussion on NX that will give no new information whatsoever.

Here are my predictions (which are clearly valid and proven true countless times):
Wii U:
-Animal Crossing U for 2015 holiday
-Paper Mario U trailer, 2016 release
-Metroid teaser (no gameplay) set for late 2016
-Pokken Fighters Wii U
-Xenoblade X release date finally announced
-Star Fox gameplay and release window
-Fatal Frame information, possibly Fatal Frame IV bundled with V
-New account system revealed
-Remake from the GameCube
3DS:
-New retail Pokemon spinoff (likely the Pikachu detective game)
-Bravely Second, Rhythm Heaven and Ace Attorney localization trailers
-Regular New 3DS announced for NA
-New IP for 3DS
-Metroid 3DS gameplay
-More Kirby announced
Edit: OH, and SMTxFE trailer with release window for the West (likely mid-2016)

| mZuzek said: Xenoblade X was originally announced for 2014, Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Maker were 1st half 2015. And... that's all I can remember |
Don't forget:
- Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were announced for Wii U's launch window, arrived second half of 2013.
- Wii Fit U and Wii Party U were delayed.
- Captain Toad delayed by a month in PAL.
- Kirby & The Rainbow Curse delayed by nearly 3 months in PAL.
- Tropical Freeze pushed back 3 months.
So yeah, I'd be utterly unsurprised if Starfox is pushed back to 2016. Nintendo is addicted to delays.
-Paper Mario U
-Metroid
-Star Fox info
-Animal Crossing U
-Pokemon Z
-Pokken Fighters
-A real 3D Mario (please)
-probably a remake
-GameCube games for the virtual console
-Reggie becomes the king of the world
What I want:
METROID.
What will happen:
ANYTHING BUT METROID. But there will most likely be Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, and definitely Star Fox.
