this very same thread should be done when the gen has ended and every console has gotten its last game, because im sure that by the end both PS4 and X1 will have a large list of new games (Both Exclusive and Multiplats).

You're really clutching at straws here. An entire industry of developers and only 2 new games from them? That's bad. SM3DW has a higher metacritic score than Bloodborne. ;) |
So do some indie titles. But the game has worse graphics than Bloodborne obviously, most nintendo games arent really high budget AAA games. They are something between AAA and indie games in production value.

Do you doubt that every "new game" on Wii U is pushing the envelope because they are not holded back by crossgen development?
ESPN Sports Connection, Game & Wario, Game Party Champions, Mario & Sonic Winter Olympics, Mario Party 10, NES Remix, NSMB U, NSL U, Rabbid Lands, Scribblenauts Unmasked & Unlimited, Sing Party, Sonic Lost World, Taiko Drum Master, Tank Tank Tank, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U and Wii Sports Club all make good use of the new hardware and surely wouldn't have been possible on 7th gen hardware. ;)
Monster Hunter 3 and Super Smash Bros. didn't have to make huge compromises to run on 7th gen hardware... only negligible compromises to make a 3DS version possible.

Some corrections and additions:
PS4 "new gen" retail games up to June (no old gen versions planned): Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, EA Sports UFC, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, F1 2015, Flockers, Hand of Fate, Project CARS, Pure Pool, Shadow Warrior, The Escapists, The Golf Club, The Last Tinker, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Toukiden: Kiwami, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Worms Battleground
XBO "new gen" retail games up to June (no old gen versions planned): Batman: Arkham Knight, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, F1 2015, Flockers, Hand of Fate, Killer Instinct, Lords of the Fallen, Project CARS, Pure Pool, Shadow Warrior, The Escapists, The Golf Club, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Worms Battleground
WiiU "new gen" retail games up to June (no old gen versions planned): Splatoon, Yoshi's Wooly World

Updated with the last numbers. Added new titles and fixed some things.
Thanks, this makes me realize that it's a lot better than some would lead me to believe. While there are more cross gen games than some other generations, it's not like those aren't new games, They also are of better quality than the older gen versions. So since I own a ps4 why would I buy the ps3 versions? Even some of the remasters are close to being cross gen releases for some people that they could get the better version without worrying about playing the game again.

I'm also working on a similar list... it's not finished yet, I still have to add the handheld-only games.
Since I'm only interested in good games (and couldn't care less if bad or mediocre games are old gen, cross gen or new gen), I've decided to include only games with a MetaScore of 60 or better... the highest MetaScore of multiplatform games counts (excluding the inflated iOS scores). Sorry for Knack (PS4), Shape Up (XBO), Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 (Wii U) and a few other underrated games, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
To keep it simple: "new gen" = no version for any 7th gen hardware (360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP), "old gen" = no version for any 8th gen hardware (XBO, PS4, Wii U, 3DS, Vita), "cross gen" if at least one 7th gen version and one 8th gen version exist. "Remastered" only for remakes/remasters of old games, not for slightly enhanced late ports.
I'm still unsure about the inclusion of Japan only games (Fatal Frame 5, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, Just Dance WiiU)... for now these three are included:

For an overview how much time has passed between the different versions, the columns "delay" show the number of months since the release of the first version:
Next task is the addition of some great download games and substantial DLCs... only the best (MetaScore of 80 or higher).
