Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Talks About Mobile Development (5 titles through March 2017)! (No Cash Grabs, Pure Quality Games?)

I reckon there first game will be a port of Pokemon shuffe. It is seriously addictive and it's model screams mobile. I suspect releasing shuffle on the 3DS was to test the waters of the f2p model for mobile.

Yeap, because they rather release Quality/unbroken games^

Some other Developers do the same thing. Thats why there are delays

To be honest, this is not the best time to say that considering Splatoon is coming out incomplete.

Then again, I thought mobile games should come out at a much faster pace.

Cant 100% argue that but at least its the multiplayer aspect (online) and they are giving updates free and not hiding behind a pay wall.

Honestly i doubt they release Splatoon if itwerent for no other big game not releasing soon. Look at what we got so far this year :-/

As much as I am against Ninten trying their hand at the mobile market, I am curious on what their first game will be, and how it will do. I hope it`s at least a good quality game... o:

I actually can't wait to see what their first game will be XD probably won't be too exciting, but the concept of Nintendo officially on mobile is intriguing.

Probably just for ios and droid things and not for Windows Phone. Will try them if they come.

Atleast i got Temple Run and Hill Climb Racing.

Just because the games are quality doesn't mean they won't be cash grabs. Amiibo proves that Nintendo isn't above a "quality cash grab."

Well the colloquial definition of "cash grab" is something that is put together in a slapdash fashion in an attempt to gain easy profits, so technically something like a "quality cash grab" is a bit of a oxymoron.

Will just have to wait and see how this will end up

Just because something is put together in a slapdash fashion doesn't mean it can't be quality. The main theme to Zelda (or Mario - I can't remember) was put together in a slapdash fashion, and it's iconic now. "Quality cash grab" isn't oxymoronic at all.
