Yeah here you wont see many nintendo game in this metrics

Doesn't that just prove You dont need to spend that much money to make a good game?

Edt: There is a Nintendo game there, and LOL to what it is XD

But it also proves that nintendo is greedy. At least sega made shenmue and sony FF7, nintendo never wanted to risk anything thats also one reason why they dont want to make mature IPs as their current games aestatics are easier to programm.

No. OP just thinks his opinion is above yours...

how about still not having anything better than mario and zelda after 30 years of game development?

Typical thing to say, unfortunately we will never stop hearing this (intill its 40 years of course)

Online features?

It's really weird. They were really ahead of the curve or at least keeping up with it back in 2006 with Metroid Prime Hunters (It had awesome online and even voice chat), but now they've gone backwards by a lot, lol.

Hunters was made by an American studio. NLG new game apparently has online, so I suspect that will be more robust than some other games of Nintendo.

Not really. From a historic perspective they are the most important viodeogame company ever, and now... yes they´re still the best, with some obvious problems but.... look around, the industry is a mess with a hollywood complex nowadays.

OT: You can measure "taste".That's one of the reasons something like metacritic should be extinct.Anyway, assuming that you want to talk about nintendo's weaknesses, for me is:

Online and new ips.

Back in the day nintendo was god-like making new ips.

Every ip was an insta-classic and one of the main reasons was because their games were usually ground breaking from gameplay or/and graphics perspective.

Today's nintendo plays safe and,in the rare cases they don't,the new ips itself don't set the world on fire reception-wise.Maybe because we expect too much?!

And about online...welp...

Funny people mention new ips when Wii Sports is the most successful exclusive ip in the past 10 years (along with others such as Nintendogs/Brain Age/etc) and Luig's Mansion/Captain Toad/ hopefully Splatoon/etc

Thats not called being greedy, its called being Smart. Did you see Super Mario Galaxy? Did that need a ton of money to be arguably the best platformer in history?

Does Persona or Fire Emblem need to be made with $50mil to sell to 2mil-3mil people and lose a ton of money?

C'mon :-/
