Nintendo has several of them. They are not M rated, so they dont count apparently...

That's the most childish way of addressing my point possible.

What alternative to Fifa does the Wii U have? Or Madden?

What alternative to Battlefield does it have?

What alternative to Far Cry does it have? Or Dragon Age? Or the Witcher? Or the new Assassin's Creed? Or GTA? MGS? Destiny?

And even if in a few of those cases you can find 1 game that might be able to somewhat substitute a title of those listed, then that still won't be enough because people don't buy systems to just play 1 game, people that like any of these series are not going to ditch them and the system(s) they come on for a Wii U that maybe has 1 game that might be somewhat similar to them and that will probably stay the only one on the system.

With the exception of The Witcher and MGS, people bitch like crazy about all those franchises. Nintendo alone makes more diverse games than all the big third party publishers cough up combined... Yet people still buy them, defend them and say Nintendo needs them...

It's a shame cause it did three things better than the rest

Price
Gamepad (remote playing without an extra purchase, even if it range is limited)
Hardware (being weaker is good, not bad)

Unfortunately the third is a problem for third parties and scares away their support. It needed Madden, Fifa, GTA, etc, to sell.

Madden and Fifa are being made for the Wii and 3DS and GTAV was for the 360 and PS3. The hardware is not the problem.

The Wii has a big install base and cheap, downgraded ports were a safe bet. GTA being on PS360 doesn't mean anything.. They worked years and loads of money to get the game running on them, the Wii U is not much more powerful and would've cost a lot to do the same. They also had a generation's worth of experience with that hardware and 0 with the Wii U.

They remastered it to the PS4 and XB1 in a year...

1) Assuming they didn't start working on it much earlier

2) A remaster that doesn't come close to fully utilizing those systems hardware but would probably be a peak game on the Wii U.

Not at all, I still stand by my initial point. Ninty alone isnt enough to sell a home console to respectable levels, WIi U is proving that.

Rather WiiU shows that Nintendo failed at what they do best: making games.

Obvious trolling. Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros 4, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade X, Splatoon... They are better at creating games than ever. 5 Nintendo games on WiiU have over 35% attachment rate, which I believe never happened before.

The problem is the lack of third party support, nothing else. Current WiiU owners are all loyal Nintendo fans. 15-20 millions of loyal fans is a respectable level. For the next gen (it's too late for WiiU), Nintendo have to get back a part of the audience they had with the Wii, thanks to innovation. I'm confident they can do it again in the future.

Rockstar could make it in their fucking sleep and I bet they would be happy to do it to make their game available to more people.

Its the terrified, spineless publishers who are scared to death of not making a shit ton of money on every release.

So translation: "They have none". Thank you

People want those games, people enjoy those games, maybe you should get some perspective and realise that people do not all enjoy the same thing and that surprise, surprise a lot of people do not care for Nintendo's output. So yes, if Nintendo wants its hardware to be relevant then it does in fact need those games (or it can try to catch lightning in a bottle again), cause if they don't have em they won't even be on the map for tons of people.

Lol, do you actually think that T2 would stop Rockstar if they said they wanted to make a Wii U port of GTA V? Do you have any idea how much freedom Rockstar has within T2? If they cared to put the game on Wii U then it would be there.
