As a vita fan, I'm inclined to say the vita, but looking at it from a business perspective, at least Ninty is making a lot of money from first party games that sell well. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about Sony's games on psvita.

So, I'll have to go with the WiiU.

I know that's not what you were going for but reading your OP it reminded me that even though the Wii U is heading for record low sales, in the end, it's still getting quality Nintendo games and that's a huge advantage that is enough to award it the win over the Vita.

Thats not a meaningful statement. 

Dr. Vita is saying that there are still game releases and (some owners) are still enjoying the system and looking forward to whats coming, for them its alive. The Wii in 2012 was dead, or the DS in 2013, PSP post 2010 etc...

Commercially it may be dead  (I'd argue <20k gobally is dead, 40k-50 is just poor)

The Vita has Minecraft, so ist wins if you ask me. That game alone can entertain you for years.

I would take my Wii U over my Vita. PSVita is a huge failure to me, it sticks is to inaccurate for great remote play and given a choice I prefer the TV to a handheld (pretty much every Vita game I care about is on PS3/4 as well)

With that said the Wii U is not that great either

How i must explain? Vita is a dead console, withouth the Sony support, because after Sony looks how bad was the Vita sales hes abandons Vita.

Wii U too, bad sales, but Nintendo continued to support this console, and thanks this, this will be one of the rare cases when a Nintendo console will have a better legs than a Sony console, and that's all.

For the "Handheld are dead in the West", i say that is not true, because 3DS is, after PS4, the console with the bigger sales, both in the US and EU, and that's not because 3DS sell bad, but because PS4 sell too good, 3DS actually sell more than XBO in the US... that's why you can't say that 3DS is dead in the US. (and EU)

Vita would be selling Xbone numbers had Sony even tried. Certainly in NA, its weakest region, SCEA dont do shit for Vita, at least SCEE tries with some bundles etc.
