Skyrim sold 20+ million units in 4 days? :p

At $5, I'm not surprised.

EDIT: At $5 during a free weekend. Makes total sense.

Hey guys let's avoid comments regarding piracy or torrenting, it's not really relevant to the topic at hand and it's coming off as bait.

Think that applies to retail.

And also how with Steam, most AAA games don't even sell unless they are HEAVILY discounted.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

But it's extremely on topic as anyone can pirate a copy and then link it to their Steam account.

How widespread is this issue?

There's no actual data (which is the case, since Valve doesn't disclose sales numbers ever), outside of occasional reporting that torrent sites release.

But without the factual hard data it makes it fair to assume all PC gamers pirate though right?, I mean if the answer is yes then anyone should be able to if not every answer be to any PC games selling "it's because of torrents".

I find the claim that they sold more due to torrents is flat out bait, especially when it comes from someone who isn't even invested in the camp that's talking about the sales.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

and to present the number of steam users who have played the game as hard sales data is disingenious and deceitful. The whole point of the thread is some sort of vague response that kinda confirms why the stigma exists (PC games sell well, but sell a ton at very low costs).

Mod asked you to stop, so I'm pretty sure that ends all discussion on the topic.  Thanks.

Is it just me or every time I go on steam I see an advert trying to sell me left 4 dead 2 for £3.75 or a bundle of most valve games for ~£20?
