BTW it is not Sony reporting SOLD numbers... last SOLD numbers is 20.2m as of March 1, 2015.

That is IGN saying Sony SOLD based in the Sony's shipment lol

Someone got a source where it says shipped? I know these numbers usually mean shipped but Sony also usually announces sold through. Then again they didn't specify sold through like they usually do so it's probably shipped.

Eurogamer also says sold 22.3m worldwide. Looks like these are sold not shipped numbers afterall.

Oh' for Pete's sake so say Sony shipped over 22.3 Million at the end of March.. its at the end of Apr now! Its Tax return season and in Christmas season Sony sold over 4.1 million PS4's.

 

the fact is its shipping systems passed the 22.3 million at the end of freaking March anyway!

Alright guys, here are Sony's sold-through numbers in perspective:

Q1 CY2014: At the beginning of 2014, Sony announced 4.2 million PS4's sold-through and later announced 7 million at the beginning of April. Thus, the PS4 sold 2.8 million in the first quarter.

Q1 CY2015: Sony announced 18.5 million sold-through by the beginning of January. If Sony sold-through 22.3 million by the end of March, the PS4 would've sold-through 3.8 million.

That is illogical because you would be basically saying the PS4 would be up YOY by 1 million.

Where does it say shipped? I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just trying to understand based on the wording.

It seems that sony is giving numbers faster than VGChartz, Anyway, not bad for Sony.

I think April will be a good month too because of Bloodborne. What a great Game!, amazing. but the fkr is hard!. Im new in Fromsoftware gaming. Two more maps and its done. Been playing for a lifetime. It may become GOTY this year. If someone wants a PS4 for Bloodborne , buy it, but be very very pacient, at least till you defeated the first boss. 

Anyway, It seems that despite the price PS4 is outselling XBOX ONE by 2 or sometimes 3 times and also winning in USA. I wasnt expecting that.

PS4 is saving SONY, And it seems that a slim version is going to be anounced soon. I guess it will pass the PS3 easily in its lifetime, but a lot of analyst are saying that this gen will not last long. So that might impact lifetime sale. 

 

 

i doubt Sony will announce a Slim PS4 anytime soon. Short of taking out the.powerbrick and makinz it.external there is nothing Sony can do to shrink the PS4 down.
