Why does Xbox exist in Japan?

A 1% WoW hardware lift globally, and a 2% lift in the USA for PS4 is probably about right, since Bloodborne should only be expected to maintain the BFH boost as opposed to build on it. PS4 is only a meager 200K away from LTD 50% market share.

I'm noticing the huge discrepancy between the PS4 and Xb one versions of ACU in the USA. This is obviously due to the AC bundle, but as that's a download token not a physical copy it's an artificial difference unless VGC adds digital sales on the PS4 side.

Handsome Jack starts with a bit of a fizzle. But then it is a remaster of an only modestly popular franchise, so probably as expected I suppose.

Wii U is slightly up YoY, but more or less within the margin of error which means more or less flat YoY. At least that's better than being demonstrably down. But the reality is the fairly leggy Super Smash and MK8, and the recent MP10 isn't translating into significantly improved hardware sales. Price cut is needed, and soon.

Only thing is, is that the Wii U was doing badly before the PS4/XB1 came out. A lot of XB1's bad image is mainly Microsofts fault, even after they fixed most of it the $500 price point at the beginning did a lot of damage to the obviously more powerful $100 cheaper PS4. Now people are just getting what they're friends already have.

And silly parent's heard about XB1's negativity but probably don't even know it's been reversed, last gen would've been VERY different if MS didn't have that 1 year head start.

Anything come out for Vita this week? Nice 10k-15k boost there

3rd super robot war z which sold 109k first week but vita fell wow by 5k or by 18.52% and since then ps vita is on a steady fall till now in Japan...

What do You think is a base line for PS4 now? 250k-300k a week?

it was around 250k before christmas, but dropped to around 150k after and now picking up the steam again. Thats 2008 Wii numbers. Respect.

It's a bit different in all of those countries, they're interested but they're just small and you get what is expected.

In japan not only are they not interested but it's a huge territory, lots of retailers to organise distribution for a decent sized country. 

Selling 1 console in a sample of 100 people is better than selling 1 console in a sample of 10,000 people.

you can't blame Sony for making that monopoly when the competition Fuck up as hard as they did. Nintendo came off their best selling console and Microsoft from taking over a huge part of the Sony fanbase, only to throw it out the door. Also, you have an Xbox bias.
