Forums - Gaming - Is Ori and The Blind Forest the Best Looking Game this Generation? (If not, what is?)

Such difference you see?

I think Ori beats them by a landslide.

I agree, Ori is the best looking handdrawn game by a longshot.

Yes, it is the best looking side-scrolling action game currently...

I think will be hardly to see another same genre game overtake it for quite sometimes...

The Order 1886, Infamous SS, Ryse...in that order.

Bloodborne gets art style from me though. The level design and atmosphere in that game is amazing!

Super Mario 3D World is the best looking game. Ori has nothing on Mario.

I went back to Child of Light and Rayman after playing Ori.

I don't understand how anyone could say those two games look better. They have absolutely nothing over Ori.

After that, it's really difficult to put a game of that style against games like The Order, Driveclub or inFamous Second Son. The style is just not comparable.

But it beats just about any platformers out there, even Yoshi's Woolly World by quite a margin. The amount of stuff going on in the background and foreground is unmatched by any 2D platformers, and those excape sequences have no equals in any other 2D/2.5D game.

Will people call me biased to the Xbox platform for saying this? xD

Not sure if the best looking (we have to play it yet) but Yoshi is the cutest platformer this generation :P

And not, you are not being biased.

In going to come out and say it. Infamous SS is an ugly game. Technically impressive but I hate looking at the game and the characters.

Seeing how the comments are, I feel like going with Ori as the answer, just to give the game its credit. It is one dang impressive looking game with its visuals. It can def go up there with the other impressive games : )

Ori looks damn good but The Order 1886 takes the cake for me.
