After MGS5, I´m done with them and I think a lot of people are too.

They might as well be finished in the videogame business (or the closest to it they´ve ever been at least) and just keep their fitness centers.

They pretty much died when they closed down team silent. They still brought out an amazing yugioh card game for the ps3, milenium duels it was

Well they do have PES, even though that is being absolutely demolished by FIFA in sales...

But yeah, if ever there were a video game company dependant on one man it was Konami with Kojima. Without him they may be in serious trouble.

Konami lost interest in PES sometime in the past. Usually FIFA and PES were very close on reputation, and even the sales gap with FIFA wasn't terrible .

Sometime around 2010 Konami started selling way less than FIFA. And now that people complain about FIFA and EA Sports becoming complacent and just re-skinning  prior titles, PES could really make a comeback, Mortak Kombat 9 style.

Konami could have pushed PES on Nintendo consoles , pushed more its presence on handhelds, they could have pushed PES bundles with PlayStation (to contrast to the FIFA Xbox bundles), they could make a PES on the WiiU where there's no competition (PES sold well on Nintendo, why just ignore it?)... If PESdoesn't make a comeback this gen, it will be to late for the franchise.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

^ Lol!!

Completely accurate

Konami is pretty much irrelevant to me as far as their current work goes, but I still want them to get out of this mess and start doing well again. They're one of the classic video game companies and I'd hate to see them disappear.

Seriously fuck Konami. One of the last Japanese video companies I liked, mainly because of MGS and they ruined that by firing Kojima. Now they cancel silent hill. Idiots.

Konami only has PES now which the latest iteration is the best football game.

Konami suffered the same as many other Japanese publishers since the start of the 7th gen, but they managed to become completely irrelevant as of recently.

Konami and Capcom have a very valuable collection of IPs that just rot.

At least Square is making a comeback on consoles.
