I am one of those who believe the next Nintendo HC will probably release by the end of 2016. That´s why I think sales will be lower.

They will have to more than double sales from today in the UK and Germany and nearly double them in France-

Therefore i do not see the Wii U hitting 1 million in any of those countries by the time the Wii U replacement is released

Does anyone who beleves they will sell 1 million or more i those regions have an impetus for those sales to happen between now and replacement -

France, probably. It will be more difficult for the other 2 countries, but it's still possible. Given that the sales are up yoy and will stay so until the MK8/Splatoon duel (which MK8 will win, Splatoon may be very good and have much hype for a Nintendo game, but it hasn't the name and reputation of Mario Kart) and maybe keep up a bit with those sales last year, it is very probable the sales will rise again this year, just like the last ones. If that trend continues to 2016, then yes, they should do it all 3. If not, the advantage the console gathered in France should save it beyond the Million mark there.

Except it will keep selling after the replacement is released. Console sales don't just stop when the next one comes out.

The Wii with possibly the biggest decline ever still managed to sell over 200k consoles since the Wii U released.

Exactly,I have said that several times,and recently in a  sales prediction thread,many comments were mentioning the nx and how it can affect the 3DS sales,if it's a handheld,some with their predictions were acting like 3DS would stop selling just when its successor release...So If some are feel that with 3DS,a handheld,nintendo's super-power don't be surprised if some think of that for the wii  u too...:P

Wii sold 5m in 2012,despite wii u announcement in E32011,Wii sold  another 2m in 2013 and 500k in 2014,full years of wii u...

Oh,Nintendo killed wii prematurely and was fairly hasty with wii u,so much that breaks my head considering some facts...

Gs sold 3m in 2005-2006/2007 wii announcement-wii release

Lastly,wii u is still at full price...
