Forums - Sales - How many consoles do you have?

Hey, I just got an Intellivision, with 14 games, all boxed, with manuals, and over lays, in near mint condition, for only $50 Canadian ($40 U.S.?). Now all I need is an Atari 5200, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, Gizmondo, Nokia N-Gage, and Xbox 360. I know I'm missing many other consoles, but there must be over 100 consoles out there that nobody even knows about. Then, there's revisions to consoles such as the PS2 Slim and Atari 2600 Junior, which I'm not going to bother to get, and different colors of consoles such as the Silver PS2, which I'm also not going to bother to get. As long as I get one of each. Anyways, I want to complete my Atari generation. So far, I have completed my Nintendo, Sony, and Sega generations. I still need Xbox 360 to complete my Microsoft generation. At the end I'll have 5 completed generations, and a Colecovision and Intellivision on the side.

NeoGeo, Turbographix-16, and 3DO are all the same. They are all outsiders, and they are all unheard of. But I guess I need them too to complete my collection. Then again, there's just too many of them. Anyone hear of the Imagination Machine?

@kevout-awesome setup

Game consoles in our house:

Gamboy Colour

2 Gameboy Advance SPs

Used to have one 'normal' GBA

Nintendo DS

PSP

PS2

PS3

5 PCs (all have been used for gaming at one point)

On top of that my dad used to play DOOM on a several thousand pound Silicon Graphics at work!

I'm very impressed. Almost everyone has more consoles than I do. Wow... I'm missing so many. :(

How long did it take everyone to get their collection?

About 6 years gaming so far, so not very long, but my collection isn't very large.

Here is my setup

Plus 7 handhelds and 6 really old systems whose plugs are too huge to bother with

congrats to you, for organizing your systems in an awesome way. mine always just end up being a web of wires with a couple controllers sticking out, lol.

As for my systems, I only have the Wii plugged in right now, but I own:

Wii             (bought on launch, 2006)
DS Lite       (bought 2006)
PS2            (bought 2004)
DS              (bought on launch, 2004 (??))
GBA/SP       (bought 2003 (??))
XBOX          (my parents bought it, 2002)
GC              (bought on launch, 2001)
DC              (bought in 2001 (??))
GBC            (bought in 1999 (??))
N64            (bought on launch, 1996)
GameGear  (geez like 1993 or something?)  -disappeared
Genesis      (1992? maybe?)     -disappeared
SNES          (bought on launch 1991)
NES            (bought 1986)

I still have all of those in my closet, except gamegear and genesis. I do have my Aladdin for genesis still, though. I was born in 1984, so obviously I didn't pay for all of those systems, I just keep them rather than trading them in or throwing them out.

My wife and I own Inetllivision - hers Sega Game Gear - hers NES SNES N64 GameCube Wii 2 GBAs DS Atari 2600 still lost in my parents attic somewhere.

Pretty sure I'm the least console owner here, and the only one without a 'next-gen'

NES (broke and gone)

SNES (Still working)

PS1 (Old model, broke)

PS2 (SCPH-10000 still working!)

----------

GBPocket

GBColor

PSP

I see a pattern here...I happen to just own the winner consoles (except for PSP which should be DS i guess)

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.
