There seems to be a review AND a guide. The spoilers you saw were in the guide.

Looks like your right, then the review is just stating random facts about the game, the only shred of opinion is the last sentence saying its fun.

The translation is a condensed version of the review. Mostly the translator was interested in providing facts about the game to the English-speaking readers. Here's the full review.

Some google translate opinions, although google translate is quite bad for Japanese.

"Earnestly fighting and protists to polish the strength also good, and also investigated by walking around the Mira good, also to solve the troubles faced by NLA residents in the quest was good, how to play people each"

"Depending on the combination of face and make, "Zeno Blade Cross" official site"Mira Collection" also because it can make the character you have burst as, colored article lovers also very happy be!?"

"In the voice of such captivating, 3 characters of brilliantly (prenatal) and shining "in the two-disease" that was Ithome my heart from when viewed glance! There is also a voice actor of Hoshi Soichiro's Meiengi, it has become a quality that does not disappoint. I want to enjoy it selected with all means actual play !!"

"Spread outside of the NLA "primordial wilderness", the arch-like crust characteristic grassland such as Gaul plains of "Xenoblade Chronicles". You can not drink the water gathered various protist around the lake, a huge shadow Itari flying past and "What!?" Good "review". There's some nice stuff there but in honesty, most of it we already knew.

It does suggest that the story is far from the main focus, but there's so much other stuff to do that the 300 hour thing might just be possible.

Looking forward to seeing more though. The hype is definitely through the roof!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

"No matter what height you jump from in this game, you won’t take any damage. You can jump all the way down from the top of the Upper Strata in the BLADE Area to the Lower Strata. And the game won’t have to stop and load at all, totally seamless!"

=> The only downside to me.

It sounds quite good! I especially liked the part about making your own path, so to speak. In Skyrim I just went straight up and down mountains instead of using the paths lol

#1 Amb-ass-ador

"But don’t worry, it’s still a Nintendo game. They allow you to lower the difficulty on a boss if you lose to it several times. There’s no penalties for lowering the difficulty, so people who don’t play RPGs often can still enjoy the story."

Okay, that was hilarious. I had no idea that was a feature linked with Nintendo.

Also, something I really like in games is that killing monsters doesn't equate to lots of cash. That has always seemed silly to me. The idea that they drop equipment that comes from those they've killed is much more interesting. That, along with the data probe idea, seems much more logical.

Yeah, it is one of the Nintendo rules from either Iwata or Miyamoto from a few years ago, make the game easier or less frustrating by giving the player the ability to have the game play itself or lower the difficulty, mainly done on Nintendo published titles but some 3rd party games like those of Atlus have also taken to using a similar approach, mainly having a easier difficulty mode or being able to switch to it mid game.

Exactly what i was expecting. The same winning formula even more refined. :)

Only 3 hours left before the US Direct. Here's hoping we will finally get a western release date.
