Well duh, he HAS to say this, whether its true or not lol

Pretty much

Also, as a rule of thumb, if you have to spend time explaining to people what your project ISN'T......then you're not doing a very good job presenting said project in the first place

Well he shouldn't have to - People are so stupid if they think this will be a reskin.

To be fair i thought it was going to be a re-skin.  Though i havent jumped on the hate train either.  Think people should just wait for the trailer personally, though im neither excited or upset with it so far since i never played the old games either.

It's a huge IP being entrusted with arguably EA's best developer who make good multiplayer games. On a tech level, Dice make frostbite and work alongside it's creation, so we know visually/graphically there's nothing to worry about.

Plus it couldn't be a reskin if it wanted to. Dice will have to create it from the ground up because it's not going to be all guns, as we know from the Star Wars franchise.

*and sorry for saying stupid that was more of a word to emphasise a statement rather than single out those who actually think it is a re-skin :(

It's apparently 'the cool thing' to hate on this game.
Even though, the developers, DICE, have consistently made good games, suddenly people feel it's gonna be bad with little to no justification or reasoning.

I can understand the disappointment, I mean I'm pretty disappointed with some of the news lately but that being said, I don't think this game is going to be bad by any means. It might not be what Battlefront fans asked for but I still think there will be fun to be had.  I think the backlash over everything about this game is starting to go overboard.

I just want a cool collectors edition, then I'll hop on board with this game D:

Ity's not exactly what I want out of a BF game but I still want to buy it, I'll just be waiting to see how it fares when it releases and wait for quality reports but I;m sure I'll have fun with it anyway, people gave Titanfall a bad time and I loved the premise of that game, despite it's low player count and braindead bots I still have a fun time with that, the only part that ever ruins such gameplay is aimbotters but even then I can just leave the game and find another.

That said I dunno about the backlash, I mean this is a battlefront game so battlefront fans kinda expected BF2 but graphically improved and really the tech demo we saw all those years ago is what we hoped we'd have reached now, judging from NMS and the likes of Star Citizen, planet to space travel can be done and that tech demo was from way before either of those two games, the fact we won't be getting that or space battles kind of puts a dent in some fans expectations and hopes, I loved the space battles in 2, they were clunky here and there but that's why I hoped they would be marginally improved for the upcoming one, again it was something we hoped the new BF would improve upon but it cuts out entirely and you can see where things start to pile up.

I'm not exactly hating on the game, I definitely want to play it but I feel much more could have been done to make this the battlefront BF fans and newcomers would want, the game will definitely net newcomers to the franchise but I feel some fans will be left out in the cold due to these changes and right now we're seeing those people getting trampled on by those who hardly temper their expectations and instead want theirs to overlay everyone else's who doesn't agree (hence the "it's cool to hate on this game = stop hating what I like and have my expecations = no free will/choice).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

That would be pretty cool. I hope its something similar to the fan made mock up collectors editions  with  stormtrooper helmets

Like I said on another thread... I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not that big of a Star Wars fan, but this game has my attention. Problem is, when I see both EA and Dice together, it's like synonymous with reskins, DLC's and rushed development. While I'm still skeptic about this game, I do have some hope for it.

"From what we've shown"

...unfortunately they haven't actually showed anything

I'll wait for E3 and more before I make a decision on this game. Still a bit of a ways away from release.

Thanks jlmurph!
