Many people were taking the famitsu score as a gospel. I´m just trying to question that.

OT: The answer to your poll is niether, both are garbage and tell me shit games are good and good games are shit on a regular basis


0_0  It deserves a 6. Poor story, characters, environemnts, reskined/re-coloured weapons instead of actual new designs (for an RPG thats digusting). Really the only good thing in it was the monster collecting and the combat system which it simply burrowed and improved on from XIII.

Many is an overstatement. I'm sure there are some who trust Famitsu too much, but many is inaccurate.

Anyways, this is just getting ridiculous. Personally, I choose neither Famitsu or Metacritic. There are very few reviewers that I trust nowadays and really, it boils all down to the quality of writing.

Metacritic in my experience is the closest to accuracy in terms of rating reviews. NOT the rating by the critics, but the accumulated ratings by the fans on the site. despite obviously some people over or underrating certain entertainment with DA's, I still find Metacritic very accurate in terms of general ratings by the accumulated fans/viewers

you can get a pretty great vibe of what sucks or doesn't suck. unfortunately some other gaming sites use too FEW reviews in their aggregate OR just do their own personal review based on their website or magazine panel

nothing has been as reliable as Metacritic in my own shopping

Yeah and for 4 of famitsu's writers to have the opinion that the game is 10/10 shocks and horrifies me. TBH I never paid them any mind but still I'm shocked lol

Why can't i vote : None ?

Famitsu is crap, but i think the same about metacritics.

They're only few sites/lag  i can trust, and they're not on meta (gamekult, canard-pc, etc), because meta mosly take Us reviews, and hardly anything else.

The Japanese market is clearly vastly different from any western market, in terms of taste, so it shouldn't be surprising that their must popular review mag is vastly different from our equivalent.

I've got nothing against Famitsu but i have been around long enough to know their tastes are nothing like mine so their reviews are of little value to me.

 

I don't pay much attention to Metacritic either but that's for different reasons.
