Many people were taking the famitsu score as a gospel. I´m just trying to question that.

Judging by the first few pages at least, this perception comes mainly from "pre-order canceled" level bait comments made by non-Nintendo fans who never cared about the game to begin with. You're playing right into their hands.

I think making threads like this makes the situation worse :/

I dont really get what not to trust about them as well in terms of XCX... I get that 85/100 is not a score that we expected but it aint that bad :/ But I will say that their scores have always been wonky

But overall, I never trust any single review site for anything hence why I use metacritic instead

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Are you trying to compare an idiot to a genius?
Yes genius can make mistakes. But Ill still choose genius over idiot cuz that idiot gave Lighting Return 37/40 lol.

This graph also shows how on point metacritic is

They're both way off sometimes. I tend to trust Famitsu for Japanese games and Metacritic for the rest.

Look at Nier.
Metacritic: 67
Famitsu: 85

That's a huge overlook by the west. Glad I didn't trust Metacritic. But overall I trust Metacritic more.

What? Demon's Souls = Sonic 06? I don't usually say this, but, this is wrong. It's normal that reviewers have very different opinions about a game, and I respect that, but, this is objectively wrong.

idk what famitsu is doing, but they are doing it wrong.

I don't really base my decision to get a game one review alone. I try to check out different opinions to get an overall feel of the game. So I'd say Metacritics over Famitsu. Who prefers one review over a range of varying opinions?

neither, I honestly find Meta to be a crock of shit and I can see what said shit has done to gaming in general as well as the gamers who stick with such a site.

Couldn't care much about Fam but it's still the same at the end of the day.

I don't use either and never will since I base my own purchases from looking into games myself, footage and port information from the likes of TB/Jim/Joe/PCG and other sites that generally do reviews that I can read and compare from.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I personally see flaws in both but I do trust Metacritics more
