Well, that was quick. Usually these things are reserved when a console is reaching the end of its life and old games are being brought back. Seems a little fast to be doing this now.

Maybe this is a sign of a shorter generation?

Actually greatest hits is a tool for combating used game sales as well as lowering the price point for new adopters.

games that have been made greatest hits usually get decent legs as a result

Haha, that`s what I was thinking too, jokingly.

Leadified:

I think the Greatest Hits on Playstation usually starts around 1.5-2 years after the launch of a system, so this looks pretty standard. The sticker looks alright but I'll miss the red cases we had back on PS3.

I didn`t know that about the PS games. Seems odd they do greatest hits so fast. They don`t seem that old to call them greatest hits.

Blob:

Game prices seemed to have dropped like bricks this gen. Better sony gets the money than second hand places.

I haven`t been paying attention to games` prices after they were released, but I did notice a few drop a lot, like the Order going to 20 USDs about. I outta check out the prices for older games this gen at the stores.

The labels was the best part about the greatest hits cases.

More often than not, these were godaweful, and a crime to humanity.

There`s nothing like this best classic... ; )

Nintendo should bring players choice titles back...

Nintendo always does Player's Choice/Nintendo Selects at the end of the gen.

There was hardly any Nintendo Selects to pick from (in North America anyway). Back in the Gamecube days they had them well before the generation was over.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they even did any for DS (they did with handhelds prior to that though), and they should have started with 3DS by now.

Why? This might be slightly early, but the games would have qualified by previous guidelines for PS2/3.
