Maybe this is a sign of a shorter generation?

I think the Greatest Hits on Playstation usually starts around 1.5-2 years after the launch of a system, so this looks pretty standard. The sticker looks alright but I'll miss the red cases we had back on PS3.
Seeing Tomb Raider feels weird considering the next game is Xbox exclusive (for now).

It's inline with the PS3 and PSP timing.

Game prices seemed to have dropped like bricks this gen. Better sony gets the money than second hand places.

I've seen them years before the announcement of the current generation and I personally find all the PS3s Greatest Hits cases extremely fugly, especially the red ones.

I miss the red box for Greatest hits titles. Made it feel like a special edition.

No. Greatest hits are found through sales.. Nintendo is the only company that will be having short generations from now on. Microsoft is following Sony.

That breaks my heart, it really does. At least we didn't get the PAL or Japan cases here, those were just....something else.
