What a crappy friend.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I want to know how this ends, please keep us updated.
Maybe he's a drug addict or in debt and desperately needs to turn something into money.
You've ever been at his house?
Also, is he your "best friend" or just your best "friend"?

...shit on all of his clothes. And then...
You are an adult, and this guy is, I assume, another adult. Confront him and you might be able to get your things back if he hasnt sold them yet.
This is my advice after 31 years of life and cutting off several toxic friendships, cut it off. It's not worth when other people don't respect you and he's too old to be making that kind of mistake, repeatedly, to several friends.

...Fuck him...
I would say confront him, some people just steal as a addiction, ,OK he might have money problems and that's why he steals, or it's a addiction and he gets a buzz out of it. It would not be so bad if he stole them and then sneaked them back in your house say a month later.
Obviously you value his friendship ,so let him know if he has problems he should tell you. Maybe tell him your wife wants to call the Police. . It might shake him up a bit.
Also for your self maybe mark all your goods with a ultra violet pen , House number ,Post Code /Zip code. That way if anything else goes missing at least you can say well i know if it's mine it will have my mark on. Also your let the local game shops know of any stolen items and that they are marked.
In the UK you have to give ID to sell in games shops ,they would have a record of the transaction and the person who sold it and when, if the items are marked with UV and they don't tally up with the persons name and address they could be in trouble.
It's a tough decision you have ,on one hand he's your friend, but then he is taking your belongings which you work hard to buy and enjoy life a little. Maybe try and get him some help ,but say he owes you those items, he must replace them to continue your friendship.
BRKITG
If he is your friend like you say then please go and talk to him about it. I don't know why he would steal from you and I don't know what his financial status is as well. You mentioned him selling the other items that he stole to your store. If he truly respects your friendship then you confronting him in a friendly and loving manner will hopefully encourage him to open up to you about any issues he may be going through. If nothing is resolved then forgiveness is still warranted towards him. All of us, at one time or another, have done something to offend another and the old saying, "no one's perfect," comes into play.
Spare your energy... I try not to waste my positive energy on negative issues. I would cease all interactions with this guy and write this off as a loss. He'll get his someday...
