By the end of the month, the PS3 will be at 11,000,000 consoles sold most likely. With MGS4,GTA4, and GT5P hitting before this summer (and possibly SOCOM ) does anyone else believe the PS3 will hit 14-15million by the end of the summer?

Keep in mind, between Dec 29, and now the PS3 has sold 1.8 million consoles WW. Thats almost 1,000,000 per month, however the Dec29 sales most likely throw off the new year sales quite a bit.  I think its very possible that it will hit this number by the end of June  lets make that July, lol. That would put the PS3 in a very good position to hit 20 million+ by the end of the year lifetime.

It depends on software sales that boost hardware sales. If MGS 4, and GTA 4 sell and move systems yes. However, if the sell but don't move hardware then no.

If the sales keep leaning in the favour of the PS3 how they have done for the start of the year then probably but if they start to drop even to 100'000 a week then maybe not but if they stay at this comfortable 120 - 140k a week then it just might make your prediction.

With GTA the more I look at it, with such little advertising, the more I believe the 360 can only equal the PS3 sales boost, or slightly outdo it. Both will get boosts, but people who like the GTA were the same people who never warmed up to the 360.

I dont see it happening, unless Sony decides not to cut the price of the PS3. The 360 still needs to convince people who havent purchased that its better than the PS3 and its reliable. The burden is more so on the 360.

I see it all around in the US. People want the PS3 at the right price, and those people who dont care for shooters still see the Playstation brand as the only option. Either way the boost for the PS3 will be HUGE with GTA, GT5P in the library, and MGS4 right around the corner.

It should be (at the worse if VGC doesnt adjust.) be at 11.32 end of this march. Begining of April - end of July = 16 weeks.

2.68/16=.167

An average of 167K a week is very plausible.
